Can I Afford Psychotherapy?

Can I Afford Psychotherapy?

When I decided I wanted to study mental health and become a psychotherapist, it was my goal from the very beginning to open a private practice where I could offer effective and affordable therapy, particularly to those who could not afford mental health care from many other private practitioners.  At Seesaw Psychotherapy, I am committed to providing affordable psychotherapy services, depending on your current employment situation/income, and your individual circumstances.  I do not offer medicare rebates and so a GP referral is not necessary, however more often than not, my costs are lower or as much as the out-of-pocket expense offered by many practitioners who offer this rebate.  At the end of the day, finding the right therapist to work with you is imperative, so give me a call and we can discuss any questions you might have around costs and affordability of therapy.  Sometimes it is not whether your GP decides if you’re eligible for a mental health care plan, but maybe you just know you need to check-in with someone in a non-judgemental and supportive way.  I support that.
